Oxwich is an area of outstanding natural beauty. There is a village shop where you can buy all your basic needs (seasonal). A lot of our guests take advantage of the home delivery services where you order your groceries on-line and they are delivered to the door. The apartments are just a short walk on level ground to the beach at Oxwich Bay (approx. 500 yards), where you can enjoy a bar meal or restaurant meal at the Oxwich Bay Hotel, or have a drink in their gardens overlooking the bay.
There is a surf school on the beach which also hires out wind sail equipment and canoes. There is a host of other amenities, including walks in the dunes, rock pools to explore, fishing, and it is ideal for children’s games and bathing. Voted “Best Beach in Britain” in 2007 by the Travel Magazine. 2.5 miles of pale sands and safe shallow waters make Oxwich Bay beach probably the most popular beach in the Gower.
Just a short car ride away you will find the villages of Scurlage and Knelston. In the village of Knelson you can buy food and newspapers and in the village of Scurlage you can shop in their small supermarket. Scurlage Holiday Village has a swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi (open between April and October to the general public).
There are many walks to suit all levels of ability along the shores and in the stunningly beautiful and accessible countryside.
